3 Summer Concert Style Tips

Summer Concert

Long nights, warm days, and all the Vitamin D we could ask for. Does it really get much better?

We’re welcoming summer with open arms, and if you’re all about sandals and flirty dresses, we’ve got a strong suspicion you’re feeling the same.

That being said, a change in season always brings up its own host of issues: changing out your wardrobe, discovering the latest seasonal trends, and saying goodbye to all your cozy sweaters and knits.

And so, today, we’re going to help you out with some tips for dressing for one of our favorite summer events: a concert!

Whether it be a big stadium show or a small intimate gathering, there are three style tips that we recommend all ladies consider when picking out their outfit for a summer concert.

Okay, that is enough talk! Let’s dive into our top tips for styling an outfit for a summer concert:

Tip #1: Consider The Venue

First things first, when styling an outfit for a summer concert, it’s important to consider the venue.

As mentioned, some summer concerts might be played in a big stadium, while others are outdoor.

If you’re headed to a stadium, dressing for the weather is less of a concern, but if you know you’re going to be outside, we highly recommend getting out your phone and checking the weather prior to heading out.

While it might be all sunshine and blue skies in the afternoon, you never know what could roll in by the evening. Not to mention, if your concert is later at night, there’s always a chance the temperature could drop. On the other hand, some summer nights are notoriously hot.

Be prepared: Bring a cute jean jacket, dress in layers for hotter climates, throw a mini umbrella in your bag if clouds are rolling in, and don’t forget to consider your footwear… Which brings us to our next tip…

Tip #2: Comfortable Footwear Is Key

If there’s one part of your outfit to pay attention to, it’s your footwear.

And no, we’re not just saying that because of our love for all things shoes.

Uncomfortable footwear when you’re going to be standing for long periods of time can really bring you down… Literally! Sitting because your feet hurt while your favorite musician plays away is never a good time.

Also, if you’re going to an outdoor concert, it’s extremely important to rock some comfortable and durable footwear. You never know what the ground might be like. Wet and muddy, we recommend staying far away from white shoes or heels.

Instead, go for a pair of gladiator sandals, or wear those flirty ballet flats that look great with your denim skirt.

Bottom line: Whatever footwear you choose to wear to your summer concert, make sure it’s comfortable and durable for the conditions.

Tip #3: Long Dresses Beat Short Dresses

While we know you love all your flirty dresses and skirts for summer, we recommend doing away with them for a summer concert.

Largely because they could cause you to have a bit of a Marilyn Monroe moment.

No thank you.

Instead, opt either for form-fitting dresses that go past the knee, long maxis, rompers, or shorts. With any of these options, you’ll be able to feel feminine and on-trend, but you won’t have to worry about pesky wardrobe malfunctions.

At the end of the day, when dressing for a summer concert, it’s all about picking styles you feel confident and comfortable in. Simply use the tips from above to come up with your own summer concert style.

Do that, enjoy some music, and relish in all things summer. There’s nothing but blue skies ahead.
