Staples For Cool Nights

While the sun might be keeping you toasty during the day, there’s no denying that as the evening goes on, fall nights tend to be quite chilly.

And really, who likes shivering as they’re trying to enjoy an evening out?

Certainly not us! And so, if you’re ready to prep for fall, we’ve got all your fall must-have outerwear pieces to keep you warm, but also on-trend.

Let’s discuss.

1. Your Go-To Jacket: Leather or Denim?

When it comes to that fall jacket that can be dressed up or down to suit a variety of occasions, every woman should have either a leather or a denim jacket in her collection.

Not only are both of these pieces easy-to-wear with a variety of outfits they’re also pieces that always remain in style season after season.

Pair a leather jacket with a flirty skater skirt and booties, or rock your favorite denim jacket with some leggings and a tunic for a more laid-back look.

At the end of the day, though, with a denim or leather jacket in your fall lineup, you can’t go wrong.

2. A Trench Coat

We’ll add one more coat/jacket to the mix, because, as much as denim and/or leather jacket always works for fall, sometimes you’re going for a more sophisticated look.

Perhaps you’re meeting friends at an upscale bar, or maybe you have a fall wedding to attend?

Whatever the case, a trench coat is the perfect fall piece to keep you warm on a cold night, while also ensuring you look as chic as possible.

3. Shawl/Poncho/Kimono

Whichever one you choose, all three of these options are easy-to-wear, while keeping you warm.

For an option that’s easy to remove and doesn’t necessarily have to impact your whole outfit, we would suggest going with a shawl. For something more trendy, a poncho will give you a bohemian feel. And for a style that you can incorporate into your look, a kimono will make your outfit more stylish, while also giving you added warmth.

Either way, as mentioned, all three of these items have that laid-back feel that’s easy-to-wear and trendy. No complaints here.

4. Scarves, Scarves, Scarves!

If there’s one fall accessory that always works for both style and warmth, it’s a scarf.

Whether it be a chunky knit, or something more trendy like a neck-tie scarf, just a little extra warmth around your neck never fails to help on a cool night.

Not to mention, we love that a scarf can add extra dimension and color to an outfit.

For example, perhaps you’re wearing an all-black outfit. Add a pop of warmth with a spicy orange scarf, or keep it more neutral with a tan scarf, as shown above.

Trust us, there’s no such thing as too many scarves in a woman’s wardrobe.
